Should you use Drugs for Menopause Problems?

Much research on menopause has been carried out. After several years of research, it was discovered that the average age at which a woman experiences this problem is 51.

However, various associated problems may become apparent in the years before she approaches this age.

One of the most common changes is the erratic presentation of the menstrual cycle.

The menstrual cycle will not obey the normal law of reproduction and come every 23 to 38 days anymore.

For example, it may be absent for some months and then appear several times in a fortnight.

As the age of 51 is reached, it will usually stop completely.

This may lead the woman to experience osteoporosis which is the medical term for reduction in bone mass.

The estrogen produced by the woman during her period of menstruation also helps her bones to grow thick and strong.

But once the production of estrogen stops, this no longer happens and the bones may then start to become much thinner and frailer over time.

Clonidine can help you out

Clonidine is a drug that is normally used by those who have high blood pressure.

It helps to suppress their blood pressure and bring it to down to a normal level.

But it has been discovered that the drug can also be used by those who are having menopause related problems.

If the menopausal symptom you are experiencing is hot flashes, you will find a helping hand in this particular synthetic drug.

It is not only clonidine that is helpful in this regard.

Other drugs used as antidepressants can also be used in the treatment of hot flashes or flushes as they are sometimes known.

As it is to be expected with many synthetic drugs, this one too comes with a number of side effects.

When you use it to help you in coping with menopause, you tend to experience drowsiness and a dry mouth.

Conclusion

Do you believe that those pills you used as contraceptives can be very helpful for coping with menopause and its symptoms?

Several medical researches have been carried out about this and it has been discovered that you can get rid of some of the symptoms of menopause with the pills.

But it is never advisable to use them without proper medical guidance.

It is essential to consult your doctor before you take any drugs.
