How to Make the Most of your Craft Show Booth

If you simply love crafting, perhaps you can make a little extra money off of it.

One of the best and easiest ways to do that is to sign up for some local craft fairs.

A craft fair, or craft show, gives you a great way to showcase your talent, and you can enjoy your hobby without having to clutter up your own house with twenty or thirty of the same item.

However, if you are serious about wanting to make money at a craft show, than you need to put some thought not only into the pieces you want to sell, but also into how you want to go about selling these items. Plan your booth to attract customers.

The number one tip when it comes to organizing a booth for selling crafts is to keep your booth clean and clutter-free.

Customers like to see all types of one item together, especially when there are multiple color/pattern choices from which to choose.

If your booth looks dirty or unorganized, customers might not even check out what you have to sell. They will simply assume that your crafts will not be of high quality either.

Another way to help draw customers to your booth is to have good traffic flow.

Do you anticipate on item or another being very popular? Put it near the front of your booth so that when a crowd stops to look, they can spill out into the aisle instead of blocking traffic from the rest of your booth.

Good organization of your tables should also help you to create a flow of traffic.

Make sure people can walk through your booth, even if another person stops to look at something.

This also applies to the checkout part of your booth. Make sure that if a line forms, your customers won’t be blocking other people from looking at the items.

Lastly, once you have a customer in your booth, keep him or her there.

Make sure all of your items have a clearly marked price.

If a person picks up an item and has to ask you for the price, chances are that he or she will simply walk away.

Also, if you anticipate being very busy, considering asking a friend or family member to help you collect the money.

If people have to wait in line too long, they’ll simply leave, and there’s nothing more disappointing than losing sales.

Attracting your customers takes some thought, so before you pack up your crafts, consider how you will handle your craft booth.

I recently discovered this site and I can tell you that my life has not been the same. I now come here EVERYDAY and spend at least 1 hour.

I used to spend that time browsing online fashion and beauty magazine which just means that I spend more. Now I have replaced that habit with coming here.

In future I will think about contributing articles as well. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! and God bless"
